FRAGMENTS

Animated Video

 A short animated video inspired by the idea of a fragmented recurring dream and the inability to remember when a dream starts and ends.

We spend a third of our lives sleeping, which means that we spend a third of our lives dreaming. We would have a library of visual and narrative inspiration to work on if we recorded our dreams. We still don’t really know mechanistically how we dream, how our dreams are constructed. We have no idea how the material for a dream is chosen. This is what really makes a dream fascinating. 

The technique I used is called rotoscoping, I illustrated the stags and moth using Adobe Illustrator and animated it using Adobe After Effects.
